Join us for an afternoon of food, fun and history at the fourteenth annual Texas Ranger Day hosted by the Burton Heritage Society on Sat. March 15th from Noon to 5pm!
Celebrate Burton’s history with an afternoon of activities including tasty food at the Annie Maud Avis Memorial Chili and Bean cook-off, demonstrations by the Legends of the Texas Rangers and McNelly's Rangers, folklife demonstrations of blacksmithing and chuckwagon cooking, kids activities including the Lil Mr. & Miss Ranger contest, mule driven buggy rides and tours of the historic Railroad Depot & the Burton Farmer's Cotton Gin (10am & 2pm). Proceeds this year will restore our second historic site, the Mt. Zion Historical Chapel. Admission to the event is free, tickets for food $15 for adults, $10 for kids 6-10.
