The Burton Heritage Society hosted the 1st annual "MaiZeit" celebration on Saturday, May 3, 2008, at the Pig and Whistle Biergarten in Burton, Texas. We had a good turn-out and enjoyed an afternoon of good food, good music. We had our historic Burton Depot open and exhibited " Our local railroad and train heritage" artwork and essays by local students. We would like to thank everyone for attending, helping and supporting our efforts.

We had a great group of visitors here in Burton. About 60 members of the Vintage Chevrolet Club of America toured the Depot, along with the Burton Cotton Gin Museum and grounds. We really enjoyed their visit and hope they will come back again!
